Dorothy June Carson, 102, died November 6, 2016.
Mrs. Carson, a native of Norfolk, was the widow of George T. Carson, Sr. and she retired as a manager from Sears and Roebuck in 1978 after 32 years of service. She was a member of West End United Methodist Church, the West End Senior Citizens Club, and the Beazley Babes Dancing Group. She was predeceased by her son, George T. "Ted" Carson, Jr.; sisters, Shirley, Mae and a brother, Ralph.
Survivors include two grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 in the Meadowbrook Mausoleum Chapel, 4569 Shoulders Hill Rd. Suffolk, VA 23435. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Haven Home for Children, c/o The Union Mission, P.O. Box 3203, Norfolk, Va. 23514-3202. B.W.
