David Earl Sullivan, 79, passed away Saturday February 8, 2014.

Mr. Sullivan, A native of Wynne, AR, the widower of Marie G. Sullivan of 53 years and the son of the late Raymond E. and Josephine S. Sullivan. He retired from the US Navy as a Master Chief and later worked for NORSHIPCO as a project supervisor.

Mr. Sullivan is survived by his four children, Tina Sullivan, Kimberly Lantry and husband Stephen, Travis Sullivan and Nicole Smith and husband Jason; six grandchildren, Richard Lewis, Teresa Lewis, Alex Lantry, Nicole Lantry, Piper Smith and Zoe Smith; great-grandson Joseph Burnham and two brothers Dale and Marcus Sullivan. He was predeceased by a grandson, Lucas D. Smith and two sisters Clanice and Jane. The family would like to thank his special caregiver Edwina Wilson for the care and support.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday February 12, 2014 in Holy Angels Catholic Church, 34 Afton Pkwy, Portsmouth, VA 23702. Burial will be at a later date in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. Friends may join the family Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 1926 High Street, Portsmouth. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church, Restoration Fund.
