Cornelia Mae Carter Harrell, 96, passed away August 1, 2013.

Mrs. Harrell, a native of Suffolk, was the widow of Cicero Jamerson Harrell since his death in 2004. She was a member of Cottage Place United Methodist Church, Portsmouth.

Survivors include her son, James R. Harrell and wife Susan; four grandchildren, Ashley Harrell and wife Jessica, Katherine Harrell Vann and husband John, Keith Grier and wife Stacy, and Tracy Grier; and two great-grandchildren, Seth and Paige Harrell. She was predeceased by a daughter, Dorothy Grier.

A graveside funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 5 in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cottage Place United Methodist Church, 442 Jamestown Ave., Portsmouth, Va. 23704.
