Obituary

SUFFOLK- Claudia Kay King, 75, beloved wife and loving mother, passed over in her home July 3, 2018. Born & raised a "Berkley Girl" in Norfolk to the late Herbert and Florrie Pearce, she was fondly known as "Mom" to many.

Claudia was a retired telephone operator & Million Dollar Real Estate Agent. She believed in Jesus, was admired for her laughter, her love of popcorn & the movies, how she adored Christmas, and for her saying that "everything is going to be alright"--and she was right.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Henry King, Jr., who adored her and with whom she is now reunited in heaven, and her brother Herbert.

Claudia is survived by her three sons, Sam, David (Amy Rae), and Mike; brothers Ray and Linwood Pearce; two grandchildren, Braeden and Megan; and two great-grandchildren, Leslie and Christian; her adopted family Robyn, husband Larry, and their three children; Cameron, who was great at picking her up when she was literally down; and two dogs, Cody and CoCo. A very special thank you to Brooke, who is an earthly angel and made her final months wonderful.

Her life will be celebrated 1:00p.m. Monday, July 9, at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, 5685 Lee Farm Ln., Suffolk, followed by burial at 3:00p.m. at Albert G Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. A reception will follow at Mom's home; please call or text for the address. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
