CHESAPEAKE—Catherine Louise Blessing Cahoon, 92, of Chesapeake, passed away on December 6, 2025. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Marie Kehs Blessing.

Mrs. Cahoon dedicated many years of service before retiring from General Electric. A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted parishioner at Holy Angels Catholic Church, where she served in various capacities and actively participated in church events and activities over the decades.

Catherine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Linwood "Jr." Cahoon, and her parents. She is survived by her son, James Cahoon; her cherished grandchildren, Heather Cahoon and Michael Cahoon; her great-grandson, Kyle Cahoon, and his wife, Colleen; and her great-great-grandchildren, Maeva and Evelyn Cahoon. She is preceded by her loving sister, Margaret Ledford, of Jacksonville, Florida, and her brother, Butch Blessing, of Reading, Pennsylvania.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 15, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 34 Afton Parkway, Portsmouth. Condolences may be registered online at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
