Carolynne Stavola Fitzwater, a native of Hartford, CT, passed away on March 11, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years Hugh V. Fitzwater, her granddaughter Carolynne Frances Butler, and her brother Matthew J. Stavola.
Carol was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church where she served as president of the ECW for eight years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was an avid knitter and seamstress and enjoyed many years of ceramics classes at the Beasley Center.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Marcia Rull (Bernie), Carol Hudson (Tim), and Michael Fitzwater (Shelley); six grandchildren Heather Malish (Joshua), Kristin Hankins (Joshua), Ashlyn Hudson, Grady Fitzwater, Graham Fitzwater, and Mary Fitzwater; nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Trinity Episcopal Church, Portsmouth, VA. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
