PORTSMOUTH—Carol Jean Loria, 79, passed away February 10, 2023. She was born in Albany, Georgia to the late James Render and Mary Speight King.

During her life Carol received an Associate's Degree from Tidewater Community College. She worked at the Airline Blvd. animal hospital and with several of the local theater groups.

In addition to her parents, Carol is predeceased by her son, Joseph M. Loria. She is survived by her husband, Louis Loria; her sons Louis Loria II and James Loria; her brother, Bruce King; grandchildren Sarah, Elizabeth, and James; and her great-granddaughter, Ryann.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 522 High St., Portsmouth. The family will receive friends an hour prior to Mass at the church. Burial will follow at Albert Horton Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk.
