PORTSMOUTH—Bay Van Tran, 88, peacefully went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2021. He was born in Vietnam to the late Nhieu Van Tran and My Thi Nguyen Tran.

In his early years he worked at Tidewater Produce, LoneStar, and Tarmac, retiring after 25 years. His favorite pastimes were fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Ngoan "Wanda" Tran; his daughter, LoAnn T. Murray (Don) of Portsmouth; his son, Dennis "Hank" Tran (Kharryn) of Texas; and six grandchildren: Alexander, Ashley, Jacob, Isaiah, Kaitlyn, and Katrina.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 13, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 522 High St., Portsmouth. The family will receive friends in the hour preceding mass. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
