PORTSMOUTH—Barbara E. Campbell, 60, of Portsmouth, formerly of Richmond, VA, died May 20, 2022.  She is predeceased by her parents, C. Richard and Kathryn P. Campbell and her brother, Phil Campbell.

Barb had a tremendous love for her family, enjoyed animals, art, and taught second grade students at Saint Benedict Catholic School in Richmond.  She shared her delight in teaching with her many nieces and nephews.

Barb is survived by her siblings, Dick Campbell (Bebe), Mary Campbell Martinez (Vince), Teri Campbell Marks (Jim), and Thomas Campbell; her aunts and uncles, Thomas Poerstel (Barbara, deceased), Bob Poerstel (Pat), Clare Poerstel Weaver (Don), Jack Poerstel (Mary); as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the entire staff of Northern Cardinal Nursing Care Facility.  A special thank you to the nurses and staff of Heartland Promedica Hospice for their compassionate and professional care for Barb as she made her transition from this life.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice.
