PORTSMOUTH—April Frances Gaskins, 72, a resident of the Shea Terrace section of Portsmouth, passed away on April 25, 2021.  Mrs. Gaskins, a native of Portsmouth, was the daughter of the late Ralph E. Hoggard and Frances F. Hoggard.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie V. Gaskins III; five children, Donna Martin, Chris Gaskins, Katie Mills, Evelyn Meadows and Michelle Gaskins; two sisters, Nancy Laslo and Chrystal Reilly; a brother, Gregory Hoggard; nine grandchildren: Lee, Jasmine, Matthew, Rhiannon, Lleyton, Brooke, Daniel, Tommy, and Danny; and two great-grandchildren, Rosie and Cieran.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 1 ^st , 2021 at Aragona Church of Christ, 527 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach 23462.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Portsmouth.  A visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 1926 High St., Portsmouth, VA 23704.  Memorial donations may be made to her church.  Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
