Antonio Jumaquio Pangindian, aged 78, died peacefully at home after a brief illness, surrounded by his family.
He was predeceased by his father Jovito Pangindian, mother Juana Jumaquio Pangindian, and brother-in-law Reynaldo M. Pagtalunan.
He is survived by his sister Maria Fe P. Pagtalunan; niece Maria E. Pagtalunan; nephews Roberto, William & Raymond Pagtalunan; Raymond's wife Anna and their children Gabriel, Kristian, and Elise Pagtalunan.
After immigrating to the United States, he worked for Lombart Lenses LTD, General Electric, and the Spirit of Norfolk (where he was known to many as "Uncle Tony"). He later owned two small businesses "Quik Pik-up" and "Tony's Oriental Store". In his later years, he worked at 7-11.
He was a devotee of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno (the Black Nazarene of Quiapo, Manila, the Philippines). He was known for being a hard worker with a good sense of humor. He was also known for being a good dancer.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 21, at Church of the Resurrection, 3501 Cedar Ln., Portsmouth. The family will receive friends an hour prior at the church. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
