Alma Hodges Mosher, 98, died December 23, 2013 at Sentara Nursing Center, Portsmouth.

Mrs. Mosher, a native of Portsmouth, was the daughter of the late Walter T. and Jessie Taylor Hodges. She was predeceased by her husband Donald G. Mosher, Sr. and grandson, Steven D. Bunch. Survivors include her children, Elizabeth M. "Betty" Bunch, Shirley L. Mosher, Donald G. Mosher, Jr. (Mary Lou), James A. Mosher (Margaret), and Gregory K. Mosher (Karen). Twelve grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren survive their "Nannie".

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec.27 at Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, followed by burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. A grateful family thanks the staff at Sentara Nursing Center for their compassionate care of 10 years.
